Despite its very good condition, it is now being environmentally and technically revamped at Lisnave Shipyards. Its interiors are receiving a great deal of attention, as it is the owner which to provide unique experiences to unique cruisers.

MS “Vasco da Gama” will be receiving five SCR systems to bring its emissions below TIER III level, one for each engine, allowing the vessel to call the most stringent ports in terms of air emissions. The emissions and energy engineering projects are being the responsibility of TecnoVeritas, a marine engineering consultancy company, that has been working for Mystic Cruises since 2012. The vessel will be also receiving a new sewage plant, as well as other technical improvements.
