Donsotank orders two ice-class LNG tankers

Importer
Donsotank has commissioned two ice class LNG-fuelled tankers.

Donsotank has an option to commission a third vessel. The vessels are based on a low resistance hull design from Sweden’s FKAB. The tankers will be IA ice classed.

The vessel’s LNG-fuelled propulsion system will consist of a single Wärtsilä 10V31 DF LNG-fuelled engine, and two auxiliary Wärtsilä 8L20 engines. The vessels will be equipped with a selective catalyst reduction (SCR) Catamiser supplied by Sweden’s GESAB, which will ensure that the vessels comply with IMO Tier III NOx emission requirements.

The vessels will also have in-built shore connections for port operations and are designed to accommodate a 1000 kWh battery-pack.
