MAN Energy Solutions and DNV collaborate on decarbonisation

Effective immediately, the MoU is due to run for a period of three years. The companies will prepare detailed action plans by June 30, 2022.

The companies have already collaborated on new fuels. DNV has awarded several Approvals in Principle for ammonia fuelled ship designs, while also cooperating with engine maker MAN Energy Solutions on the safe development of a 2-stroke ammonia engine intended to be market-ready in 2024.

Puckett, Dr Gunnar Stiesch, Head of Engineering at MAN, and Jon Rysst, Global Business Development Director at DNV, will act as the main points of contact between the two companies for the duration of the agreement.
