CMES orders 2+4 methanol-fuelled PCTCs

The first two 9,000 ceu vessel are due for delivery by 2025, with the others to follow by 2026. The contract is priced at around US$597 million.

The vessels are designed for a range of long-distance voyages between Europe, America, and Africa.

Main engines and auxiliaries will be fuelled with methanol, and the vessels will have shaft generators and be fitted for shore power.
