GTT digital subsidiary participating in French H2-fuelled ICE project
The project aims to study the application of an innovative hydrogen combustion engine developed by the French academic institution Ecole Centrale Nantes, to lightweight utility vehicles as an alternative to electrification.
The HyMOT consortium is being led by Bosch France, and includes automotive supplier Faurecia, as well as Alpine Racing, IFP Energies nouvelles, Renault and TotalEnergies.
OSE Engineering will contribute its expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning at each stage of the project:
- Upstream, with the characterization of users and uses of lightweight utility vehicles;
- During development, with the simulation of a virtual fleet of vehicles corresponding to real journeys over the entire theoretical life of a lightweight utility vehicle;
- Finally, with the production of an inventory of environmental emissions and the calculation of the Total Cost of Ownership of the vehicle, in order to evaluate the environmental and economic potential of the solution.
The HyMot project aims to show that a virtual solution is possible and sustainable for fleets of lightweight utility vehicles making long daily trips with heavy payloads. In this perspective, the technological solution developed by the consortium will have to demonstrate the virtual elimination of polluting emissions and go beyond the strictest regulations in terms of polluting emissions.
