ClassNK issues hull analysis results
Through its hull data analysis service ‘CMP-MAP’, CMP offers hull performance analysis based on the ISO19030: 2016 Ships and marine technology – Measurement of changes in hull and propeller performance, the standard for evaluating fouling and age-related changes, in combination with its own methodology.
On this occasion, performance and operational profile analyses were conducted with operational data from a tanker owned by Iino Kaiun Kaisha, using the Internet of Ships Open Platform operated by Ship Data Center Co.
ClassNK reports that, as well as improving the efficiency of ship operations, there is a growing movement towards various performance improvements such as paints, wind-assisted propulsion systems and energy-saving additives to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
