Manufactured at the company’s facility in Brøndby, Denmark, the VPU 1600 is designed to assess leakage, opening pressure, and spray patterns of fuel injectors across various engine makes, including MaK, Caterpillar, Deutz, Wärtsilä and MAN gensets.

“With VPU 1600, we offer a high-performance fuel injector test unit that will significantly facilitate testing of 4-stroke engines in power plants and onboard vessels around the world,” said Leif Abildgaard, chief commercial officer, Chris-Marine.

Replacing several older models such as the VPU 900-3 and VPU 1500-2, Chris-Marine says the VPU 1600 features a user-friendly interface, robust design and compatibility with over 150 injector types, ensuring consistent, long-term performance.

Routine injector testing is crucial for maintaining engine efficiency and sustainability. The company advises that regular use of the VPU 1600 helps reduce emissions, cut fuel consumption, minimise engine fouling and extend engine life.

“Chris-Marine is proud to be a key player in the journey towards a sustainable future, promoting enhanced operational efficiency and environmental responsibility through world class engine maintenance products and innovative technology solutions,” added Abildgaard.
