Alfa Laval unveils marine innovations

During the event, the company will showcase solutions focused on energy transition, vessel efficiency, ocean protection and digitalisation.

A key focus is on enabling the marine industry’s decarbonisation journey says the company. Alfa Laval’s solutions support a range of fuels, including LNG, LPG, biofuels, methanol and ammonia. Products such as the biofuel-ready fuel line, compact HCO filtration and Aalborg multi-fuel boilers are designed to adapt to the evolving fuel landscape.

To improve vessel efficiency, Alfa Laval offers energy-saving technologies like the AQUA Blue E2 freshwater generator and the OceanGlide air lubrication system. Waste heat recovery systems, including the Aalborg WHR economiser and E-PowerPack, further enhance energy efficiency by reusing onboard waste heat.

Alfa Laval also supports environmental compliance with innovations like the new PureBallast 3 Ultra for ballast water treatment and PureBilge Compact for bilge water purification whilst its digital solutions, powered by StormGeo, aid voyage planning, emissions tracking and performance optimisation.

New partnerships, including with Oceanbird and NRG Marine, expand Alfa Laval’s offerings into wind propulsion and ultrasonic anti-fouling technologies.
