The renewed contract will span 3.5 years, with an option to extend for an additional year, reinforcing a long-standing partnership focused on sustainable maritime transport.

“This renewal underlines the continued trust in our technology and service capabilities,” said Patrick Baudin, president services business at Cavotec.

“We are proud to support Boreal Sjø in delivering uninterrupted operations with high system availability across these critical routes.”

The agreement covers preventive maintenance and operational support for Cavotec’s advanced MoorMaster automated mooring systems and PowerAdapt shore power solutions installed along three strategic ferry routes: Kvanndal–Utne–Kinsarvik, Skånevik–Utåker–Matre, and Molde–Vestnes.

Cavotec’s MoorMaster technology eliminates the need for conventional mooring lines by using automated vacuum pads to moor vessels safely within seconds. Coupled with PowerAdapt, which provides vessels with shore power while docked, the systems help reduce fuel consumption and emissions during port stays.
