Chevron and Closelink streamline procurement
The integration enables real-time, fully automated order processing between Closelink and Chevron’s proprietary OnePort system.
“This integration unlocks true digital automation for the marine lubricants supply chain,” said Philippe Lavarde, managing director at Closelink.
“Chevron has made a substantial investment in building a best-in-class supplier system. Through Closelink, that value becomes available to buyers exactly where they need it – inside their existing workflows.”
The innovation reduces order processing time from hours or even days to mere seconds. When a buyer submits an enquiry via Closelink, Chevron’s OnePort system instantly generates a quote and returns it through Closelink without the need for manual input.
“The OnePort customer portal was developed with our customers at the heart of the design,” said Ayten Yavuz, general manager Marine Lubricants at Chevron.
“By removing unnecessary steps, it significantly reduces order management time, freeing up resources so our customers can focus on their core business.”
With orders reflected instantly in Chevron’s internal systems, the supply chain moves faster, deliveries are mobilised more quickly and ship operators gain critical flexibility for short-notice demands.
