The collaboration will merge Tocaro Blue’s advanced radar perception software with Hefring Marine’s Intelligent Marine Assistance System (IMAS), offering real-time speed guidance and collision avoidance capabilities powered by AI, predictive analytics and sensor data.

“By offering our advanced marine Radar perception software with Hefring Marine’s actionable speed guidance system, we’re creating a powerful new capability for vessel operations,” said John Minor, chief executive of Tocaro Blue.

“Our partnership allows us to offer maritime operators unprecedented situational awareness combined with intelligent routing and speed recommendations that optimise performance and prevent incidents in real time.”

The joint solution aims to address two key operational areas: real-time impact force awareness, which helps determine safe vessel speeds, and radar-based collision avoidance systems that work in tandem with IMAS to predict and prevent potential hazards.

“Our IMAS system has already proved its value by helping vessel operators make smarter decisions,” said Karl Birgir Björnsson, chief executive of Hefring Marine.

“By combining our capabilities with Tocaro Blue’s radar technology, we’re creating an entirely new level of maritime intelligence that can anticipate challenges before they become problems.”
