Based in Singapore, Teoh will lead business development and growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, working closely with shipowners, charterers and shipyards. A key part of her role will be to promote APC’s MarineLINE high-performance tank coating system for chemical and product tankers. Her appointment builds on APC’s established international network, which already includes offices in Athens, London, Istanbul and Shanghai.
A Singapore native, Teoh brings extensive experience from the coatings sector and wider maritime industry. She joins from the digital maritime platform RightShip, where she served as Business Development Manager. She also holds a Master’s degree in General Business Administration and Management from Macquarie University.
Commenting on the appointment, APC Global Marine manager Captain Onur Yildirim said: “We’re delighted to welcome Veron to our growing global team. She combines deep technical expertise with great knowledge of our industry and a strong track record in building relationships, qualities that are central to the way we work. We are looking forward to seeing her contribution to our continued business development in the APAC region.”
Speaking about her new role, Teoh said she was attracted by APC’s ambition and scope to expand further in Asia. “The company is a global leader in developing specialty coatings, and MarineLINE is a proven product with a strong reputation in the market,” she explained. “APC’s commitment to customer care is another of its strengths, working closely with them to support all the requirements they have. It is an ongoing process to deliver the very best. I am looking forward to strengthening existing relationships and building new ones. There are exciting times ahead for the business, and this is a great opportunity to contribute to APC’s continued growth journey.”
APC currently commands around 12% of the global chemical and product tanker market, with more than 700 ships coated with MarineLINE. The company reported 2024 as the best year in its history, with 18% growth, and has indicated that 2025 is on course to surpass that success, supported by a series of major newbuild and recoating contracts with some of the world’s largest tanker operators. Its customer base includes Hafnia, Union Maritime, Bahri, Stena Bulk, Odfjell, Champion Tankers, Westfal Larsen and Gulf Nav.
To meet rising demand for MarineLINE, APC is undertaking a multi-million-dollar expansion project to double the size of its manufacturing facility in Avon. The investment, the largest in the company’s 28-year history, also includes new R&D capacity, with extended laboratory and testing facilities.
