Streamlining the process of lubricant procurement
The partnership connects StormGeo’s s-Insight solution with Closelink’s procurement platform, allowing automatic transfer of noon reporting data.
This helps ensure shipping companies gain greater visibility into lubricant stock levels, enabling proactive planning and reducing costly last-minute orders.
“One of the biggest barriers to effective procurement is fragmented information,” said Philippe Lavarde, CEO and co-founder of Closelink.
“By integrating with StormGeo, we’re removing that friction for mutual users, making it easier to work with aggregated data to focus on the decisions that matter.”
Data validation
The solution uses StormGeo’s global ship-to-shore reporting system, already deployed on more than 5,000 vessels, to capture Remaining-On-Board (ROB) data.
For StormGeo, the partnership enhances its offering of integrated shipboard data solutions.
“We value partnerships with specialised platforms that bring real, operational benefits to our clients. We see Closelink as a key contributor in providing the detailed insights our clients need for their lubricants inventory and procurement,” said Till F. Braun, solution sales manager at StormGeo.
With over 1,500 vessel-specific plausibility checks, the platform ensures robust vessel data validation before transmitting information directly into Closelink.
Procurement teams then benefit from the ability to forecast demand, manage supply chains and maintain lubricant availability across fleets.
The integration is already live, with early adopters such as Hamburg-based OKEE Maritime GmbH reporting operational benefits.
