Shipping AI venture launches in Vietnam
The company, QUAVEO Company Limited, was set up in Ho Chi Minh City in December 2025 and will focus on digital transformation of operations and business models, with container shipping as an initial priority sector.
The move comes as shipping lines face mounting pressure to improve efficiency while responding to volatile demand, tighter environmental requirements and ongoing labour constraints.
ONE is contributing operational knowledge from running a fleet of more than 260 container vessels serving trade lanes in over 120 countries. That experience provides access to complex, real-world data on vessel deployment, equipment use and logistics flows.
MTI brings experience in applying AI across corporate and public-sector environments, with an emphasis on embedding AI into decision-making rather than treating it as a standalone tool.
QUAVEO’s planned activities will span operational optimisation, customer-facing services, and internal automation. These include AI-supported vessel and equipment planning, more efficient logistics processes, automated handling of routine customer inquiries and back-office task automation through AI agents.
The company also intends to support AI talent development within client organisations, reflecting a view that sustainable transformation depends on in-house capability as much as external systems.
Beyond shipping, QUAVEO plans to offer AI solution development and data use support to industries such as distribution and manufacturing.
