Advanced sensor targets engine efficiency
The TCS-01CA-PMI sensor from IMES enables continuous cylinder pressure measurement on two-stroke diesel and dual-fuel engines, operating around the clock throughout the year.
Developed as a replacement for standard pressure sensors used in PMI auto-tuning systems, the device features pin-compatible connectivity and a plug-and-play installation process.
The sensor is mounted in a specially designed adaptor positioned between the cylinder cover and indicator cock, reducing combustion deposit build-up on the sensor membrane and supporting long-term operational stability.
Designed for continuous operation over three years, the sensor features a closed-face construction intended to minimise sooting during extended use. It delivers cylinder pressure measurements with precision below one percent full scale and maintains constant sensitivity without requiring recalibration.
The TCS-01CA-PMI sensor has received Marine Type Approval from Bureau Veritas, ClassNK, DNV, Korean Register, Lloyd’s Register and RINA.
