Stone Marine Propulsion appoints new managing director

Bodger joined Stone Manganese Marine, as the company was then known, from Brookes Bell where he was a surveyor, in 1979. He had previously graduated from Plymouth and served eight years at sea.

His first position at Stone Marine was that of a designer but he soon became a Project Engineer, then Technical Manager and was appointed Technical Director in 2006.

Commenting on his new role Bodger said; ‘Stone Marine Propulsion is a major company in the design and supply of large marine propellers. As a company we will continue to develop our technical capabilities and marketing strengths in all aspects of ship propulsion, paying immediate attention to our economy propellers . I am delighted that as Managing Director I shall be fully involved with every aspect of this work.’
