Wilhelmsen appoints Western Australia manager
Goode becomes part of Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s Oceania team and will be responsible for managing the day to day aspects of the company’s services which include the provision of Unitor marine safety products, technical services, ships agency services and maritime logistics. He will also be developing and growing the organisation’s businesses in the region which has a strong shipping industry based on oil and gas, bulk cargo and mineral extraction.
He explains ”Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s strong brand name together with its mix of products and services, coupled with a strong desire to agressively grow, positions the company to take advantage of Western Australia’s vast array of business opportunities, particularly in the resources and offshore segments. ” He adds ”There are currently more than AU$ 150 billion worth of projects either committed or under construction in this region, and we fully expect Wilhelmen Ships Service to capitalise on the opportunities that this activity will generate.”
Goode has 25 years experience working with medium and large multi-national corporations. His focus will be to put a robust plan and a strong team in place to meet the company’s commitments to customers and delivery of future growth ambitions.
