EU patent for fuel monitor

The FuelTrax EU patent includes: United Kingdom; Germany; France; the Netherlands; Denmark; Italy; Austria; Switzerland; and Greece

Mr George continued, “We were granted our first patent in the United States in 2006 and now with the addition of the EU, are protected in 11 countries. It is important to have these protections in place as we continue to invest in our product offerings and expand globally to serve a growing user community.”

The onboard, ABS type approved FuelTrax system along with the shore-side FuelNet web-based reporting tool is intended to help improve the performance of vessels through tighter management controls, accurate fuel accountability, and optimised vessel operations. FuelTrax monitors fuel flow, captures fuel burn rates, can measure and alarm fuel tank levels, and proves bunker quantities. Live wheelhouse monitoring features support the master in making real-time engine adjustments that can help reduce fuel consumption.
