GE powers US Coast Guard cutter
The vessel was built by Huntington Ingalls Industries in Pascagoula and has successfully completed sea trials for the operation of several components including the CODAG system. The 418ft ship has a 54ft beam and a displacement of 4,300 tonnes.
Hamilton is the fourth in class for the US Coast Guard cutter programme. The LM2500 was manufactured at GE’s facility in Evendale, Ohio.
