Lukoil builds crankcase and cylinder oil offering

NAVIGO 70 MCL AW is a cylinder oil suitable for use with fuel sulphur contents between 0.5% and 3.5%. The oil is based on the same additive technology as the existing NAVIGO 100 MCL oil, but is said to offer increased engine protection against cold corrosion and enable extended piston overhaul.

NAVIGO 6 CO is a crankcase oil for latest design two-stroke engines. “Our customers benefit from the improved formulation with enhanced detergency and dispersion and improved crankcase cleanliness and deposit control of oil-cooled piston undercrowns,” explained Stefan Claussen, technical and marketing director.

NAVIGO 6 CO can be used with iCOlube, Lukoi’s cylinder oil lubrication unit, which combines high base number cylinder oil and new or used system oil to tailor the ideal cylinder oil for each engine. This reduces the varieties of oils needed onboard and enables simpler operation for the crew.

Both lubricants have been extensively tested and approved by all major OEMs.
