ABS NS and Siemens team up on sustainable shipping

ABS NS’s digital solution, NS eLogs, will be integrated with Siemens’ data application, SISHIP EcoMAIN, to automatically capture, consolidate and manage emissions data, removing the need for paper logbooks thus eliminating error and improving access to data.

“By implementing NS eLogs as an embedded function, our clients will now be able to visualise data like never before,” said Patrick Mueller, digitalisation business owner of Siemens Energy. “Logbook data will now be augmented digitally, decreasing administrative work and improving workforce productivity for optimised green shipping operations.”

NS eLogs is said to improve the quality and security of data whilst allowing for easy replication to shore through remote access. Accepted by over 34 flag states, NS eLogs captures emissions data and streamlines requirements for CII, EEXI, MRV and IMO-DCS.

SISHIP EcoMAIN Suite enables optimised fleet management by collecting and processing the operational data from onboard systems and equipment. Applications identify potential areas for improvement through efficiency increases or by implementing best practices and give operators and crew help with decision making.
