Accelleron opens Jakarta workshop
The city is home to the largest port in Indonesia and the company, which recently completed its split from ABB, plans to increase productivity through better workflow at the new 1,600 sqm premises. Service provision includes turbocharger upgrades and retrofits, repair services, parts supply, dynamic balancing and sandblasting, turbine blade repair and ring nozzle repair.
Accelleron offers a comprehensive service from three locations – Jakarta, Batam and Surabaya – operated by PT Turbo System Sakti Indonesia. “This modern workshop has all the facilities and tools required for turbocharger maintenance and diagnostics to ensure customers receive optimum turbocharging services,” said Thomas Frencis, managing director at PT Turbo Systems Sakti Indonesia.
Other services available at the new facility include turbine blade and rotor shaft testing, operations and maintenance turbocharging training (CIAC), maintenance agreements, turbo uptime care, turbo lifecycle care, turbo marine care and digital solutions such as Tekomar Xpert.
Accelleron anticipates that the VTR.4 Series marine and power plan turbocharger, designed for two-stroke low-speed and four-stroke medium-speed, heavy-duty diesel, and gas engines, will continue to dominate service provision at the new workshop.
In the future, the company has plans to offer maintenance services for all brands of marine and power plan turbochargers.
