AI helps reduce environmental load

For more than 20 years, K Line has focused on collecting and analysing high quality data, honing the process to increase the accuracy of performance evaluation technology. As part of this, from the end of 2019, the company has been running an experiment on more than 300 ships in its fleet to verify and evaluate data analysis technology using AI developed by Bearing.

By using Bearing’s technology and high quality operational data in the future, K Line believes it will determine the operational performance of each vessel when at sea and use this information to both improve operational management and accurately evaluate various fuel reduction efforts across software and hardware.
