Asyad opens Singapore office

Earlier this year the company commissioned a new container line directly connecting Oman with Singapore and Malaysia to enable better access to southeast Asian markets.

Dr Ibrahim Al-Nadhairi, chief executive of Asyad Shipping & Asyad Drydock said that establishing a presence in Asia would play a crucial role in driving future growth. “We see plenty of expansion opportunities in this region and now is the right time to enter the market with greater force,” he said.

“Our Singapore office represents our commitment to bringing the very best of Asyad Shipping to our clients, Asian shipyards and other liner companies,” he added.

Asyad Shipping operates a diversified fleet of more than 70 vessels with a total deadweight capacity of 8 million tonnes including a mix of very large crude carriers, product tankers, LNG carriers, chemical carriers, LPG tankers, very large ore carriers and dry bulk carriers as well as various regional container line services.

This new presence in Asia will help Asyad Shipping reach prospective clients, particularly those based in Japan, China and Korea. The anticipated increase will also help the expansion of Asyad’s existing fleet.
