Dehn has been with OW Bunker for five years, and prior to his appointment he was general manager of the company’s successful risk management sales division. His new responsibilities will include the delivery of the group’s strategy for the Northern European region consisting of the worldwide and physical sales operations out of Denmark, Germany and Sweden. He will also remain responsible for the risk management sales division.

Meyer joined OW Bunker in 2005, and has held a range of positions, most recently as branch manager of OW Bunker’s Copenhagen office. As global sales director, Meyer will take responsibility for ensuring that the business is wholly customer-focused.

As part of the new strategy, Meyer will ensure that the expected global standards in customer service are delivered uniformly within each region, and that sales opportunities are maximised across the group, and in key markets, such as offshore.

The new strategy, which will be fully implemented by 2011, is designed to enable OW Bunker to continue its exponential growth over the coming years, and will see the global business and sales strategy devolved, delivered and managed across five key regions; Asia, Northern Europe, Central Europe, The Mediterranean and the Middle East and South America.

Commenting on the appointments, Morten Skou, executive vice president, OW Bunker, said:“Appointing Søren and Morten to their new roles highlights the genuine strength and depth that we have internally at OW Bunker. Both have years of industry experience as well as a real understanding of our corporate strategy, our brand and values, and the high levels of excellence that we expect right across the business. I am confident that they will be very successful in implementing the new corporate strategy, playing a central role in continuing the exponential growth that has been generated over the past few years, and delivering our ambitious plans for further expansion and development.”
