ClassNK upgrades GHG emissions tool

The ‘ClassNK ZETA (Zero Emission Transition Accelerator)’ is a tool for visualising GHG emissions and the CII ratings of ships to support management of the EU-ETS. It is currently used on over 5,500 ships.

Along with improved usability and ease of use, the newly released FuelEU Maritime feature will help owners and operators comply with the regulation when it comes into force on 1 January 2025.

The new features allows users to monitor fuel oil consumption, energy used, GHG emissions, GHG intensity, and more, at both individual vessel and fleet level.

Users can also check surplus/deficit of compliance balance and manage banking, borrowing and pooling.

ClassNK says it will continue to enhance its suite of tools to support GHG emissions management as part of its ClassNK Transition Support Services.
