J-ENG 6UEC45LSE-C1 engine

Following completion of the test on 29 June, the engine is due to be delivered to the Kanda Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. shipyard in the first half of August

J-ENG completed the engine to meet the requirements of the Ro-Ro vessel. These included fast operation with low fuel oil consumption.

This engine (C1 version) fits the design of combustion room and bearings, etc. and has a higher output than the UEC45LSE-B2 type engine, based on the high reliability and low fuel consumption performance of the UEC45LSE type engine. Orders have been made for over 250 units.

In 2017, Kobe Diesel and the marine engine business division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery were consolidated and changed its corporate name to Japan Engine Corporation.
