DNV awards AIP to NH3-fuelled container feeder design

The Singapore-based Japanese owned container line has ambitious plans to lower its emissions to net zero by 2050, and recently placed an order for 12 dual-fuel vessels capable of operating on methanol. 

“Ammonia is definitely one of the primary focuses of our research as ammonia fuel has a great potential of generating lower GHG emissions than conventional marine fuels.
