DNVPS changes managing director
Andreassen, 45, graduated in 1990 with a MSc in Marine Structures from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (now the Norwegian University of Science and Technology) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined DNV in 1991.
From his previous position as Director of International Affairs, Andreassen brings into DNVPS a background in maritime legislation and policy-making. He expects to continue with his predecessor’s strategy of aggressive R&D investment and active engagement with DNVPS’ stakeholders to develop effective fuel management practices in the maritime industry.
Wetterhus, 41, begins his new position on 1 Sep 2011. He will be responsible for driving innovation in key technical disciplines; developing and maintaining core services, rules and standards; as well as ensuring operational and service efficiency across the divisions in DNV.
