The product is also claimed to achieve a decrease in particulate emissions and increased power. As well as Wärtsilä engines, Kinetic has been used successfully in Cummins, Volvo, Detroit Diesel and Caterpillar marine engines.

The Kinetic Kleen and Boost liquid products can be added to any hydro-carbon based fuels to increase economy and lower harmful emissions. The company says the products are not fuel additives, neither do they alter or modify the fuel in any way. No harm is claimed to be caused to the boiler or engine and the product is 100% organic. Kinetic Boost has, says Carbonsave, been tested under laboratory conditions and has been proven to improve fuel economy by 7-14%, increase engine power and reduce harmful emissions by 75%.

According to the company, in a four-stroke internal combustion engine, the power cycle does not complete within the combustion chamber, causing carbon build-up, increased fuel consumption and harmful emissions. When Kinetic Boost liquid is placed into the fuel, it disperses and becomes a catalyst in the fuel itself. Once in the combustion chamber, it cleans the carbon build-up and accelerates combustion. This creates a cleaner exhaust, reduced exhaust emissions, and a reduction in exhaust temperature which increases the efficiency of the engine, lowering fuel consumption and emissions.

The company has recently appointed Seaquest Marine as the distributor for Singapore and Malaysia for Kinetic fuel conditioning products. Seaquest Marine provides ancillary products to the Sambawang shipyard in Singapore with a strong client list that includes Ocean Tankers, Goodwood Shipping, AET Ship Management and EMS Ship Management. Seaquest Marine is introducing the Kinetic product in to Malaysia through setting up a new company.
