Green corridor to link Portugal and northern Europe

The collaboration, spearheaded by Madoqua, aims to establish a shipping route that uses low-emission shipping solutions to transport low-carbon fuels.

The Green Corridor project involves industry leaders from Europe, Asia and North America and encompasses various sectors of the energy transition value chain.

Key partners include financial institutions, terminal operators, academic bodies, policymakers, green fuel producers and alternative fuel off-takers.

As a shipping logistics partner, MOL will play a central role in transporting green fuels and CO2 while promoting the use of zero-emission vessels.

The company will also contribute strategic insights into the logistics and operational needs for handling green fuels, helping shape the future of green shipping corridors.

This initiative aligns with MOL’s Environmental Vision 2.2, which aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
