IBIA appoints new board member

Mr Muhtaroglu is the founder of Turkish physical bunker supply company, Energy Petrol, and is the founding chairman of the Turkish Bunker Association. He was elected to the council of IBIA in 2003 and IBIA Board in 2009.

The IBIA has also re-elected managing director of India’s Global Fuels & Lubricants, Dilip Mody, and director of Germany’s Oldendorff Carriers, Jens Maul Jorgensen, to its board.

Nigel Draffin, chairman, IBIA, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mustafa Muhtaroglu to the board and pleased that IBIA will continue to benefit from the input of Dilip Mody and Jens Maul Jorgensen.”

He added: “Members of the IBIA board are drawn from all areas of the international bunkering industry and bring a huge amount of experience to the organisation. IBIA also thanks Bob Lintott for his dedication and support to the association over the years.”
