Kongsberg Vessel Insight for Dorian LPG fleet

The installation will enable Dorian to collect critical data from its very large gas carrier fleet, helping optimise performance and efficiency.

“This contract emphasises the untapped potential and value of collecting data to analyse, predict and improve processes for vessels and fleets, especially given the current situation within the maritime industry, where gaining a competitive edge and decarbonising while meeting new regulations is key to survival and success,” he added.

Dorian’s initial plan is to monitor and predict consumption and emissions data to plan for the coming IMO 2023 regulations. Dorian also aims to benchmark the performance between vessel types in their fleet.
