This is the first time in the world that HoloLens 2 – a mixed reality device released by Microsoft Corporation in 2019 – is being used in the marine machinery industry.

The deviceʼs wide field of vision and high-resolution graphics allow 3D objects to be manipulated at will and will enable a near-real maintenance work experience even without the use of a real turbocharger.

The mixed reality will be on show at the MHI-MME booth at Marintec China being held in Shanghai, China, from 3 – 6 December 2019. MHI-MME aims to achieve growth by further increasing the reliability of its MET Turbocharger and by enhancing the quality of the services it provides so that customers can use it with confidence.
