MOL PLUS invests in Pyxis
The two companies have signed a heads of agreement to establish an integrated business model that promotes electric vessels alongside supporting charging infrastructure.
The investment aligns with Singapore’s national target to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. From 2030, all new harbour craft operating in the Port of Singapore must be fully electric, capable of using B100 biofuel, or compatible with net zero fuels such as hydrogen, accelerating demand for electrified maritime solutions.
Pyxis Maritime is a maritime electrification technology start-up focused on a more sustainable and environmentally responsible maritime sector. MOL PLUS aims to accelerate the implementation and commercialisation of electric vessels and related charging infrastructure through close collaboration with Pyxis.
As an investor, MOL PLUS will support the advancement of Pyxis’s technology and business development by using resources within and beyond the MOL Group.
The partnership reflects growing industry alignment around maritime electrification, combining start-up-led innovation with established expertise in shipping operations, port activities and fleet management.
