In response to growing concerns over fuel supply chain reliability, particularly following several high-profile distributor collapses, the company’s intelligent on-site storage systems offer a proactive solution. Designed for sectors where operational continuity is mission-critical – including maritime, logistics, construction, and critical infrastructure – the Smart Tanks provide a secure and autonomous fuelling capability at the point of use.

“Smart Tanks were created to deliver the same level of insight and reliability you’d expect from a commercial forecourt, but right on-site and fully under client control,” said James Hunt, CEO of New Era Energy. “With recent disruptions in the fuel supply sector, our systems allow businesses to maintain operations even when traditional delivery models fail.”

Each Smart Tank integrates advanced telematics, real-time fuel level monitoring, and a cloud-based management platform, giving users complete visibility over fuel usage and inventory. The system also includes CO₂e reporting to support sustainability goals.

Built to stringent UK standards – including BS799-5 and MSBFS2018:3 – the 110% bunded tanks feature secure access via fob or PIN authentication, high-speed dispensing (up to 100 litres per minute), and pre-pump filtration. An eight-metre retractable hose adds to operational flexibility, while digital fuelling logs and automated alerts enable efficient remote oversight.

Available for deployment with either HVO or diesel, the Smart Tanks are already proving their value across the UK as companies look to future-proof their fuel infrastructure against supply disruptions.
