New president for STX Finland

Despite STX Finland having built and delivered some high-profile cruise vessels, it has also experienced a low order intake, resulting in gradually lower activity level during 2009 and 2010. The Board of Directors of STX Finland therefore believed it necessary to make a change in the management.

Juha Heikinheimo (53) has extensive experience in the shipyard industry and previously worked for STX Europe’s Cruise & Ferry Business Area in France and Finland, and has held senior management positions in Metso and Santasalo Group/Componenta. He holds a MSc (Eng) degree in Naval Architecture and Industrial Economics, as well as a MSc (Econ) degree in Financial Accounting.
