New President for Volvo Penta

Heléne Mellquist is currently the President of Volvo Trucks’ European Division and has a long history with the company. She was also previously cfo and subsequently ceo of a Swedish shipping company, TransAtlantic, between 2012 and 2015.

Volvo Trucks is currently focused on developing a fuel cell solution for its core heavy truck portfolio in a collaboration with Daimler AG, announced in April 2020.

Volvo Penta launched a new D8 engine aimed at the stationary energy generation market in Q1, and also extended its marine leisure yacht portfolio in Q1.
