New Sener multipurpose subsea support vessel

Importer
The multipurpose subsea support vessel has been specifically designed for ROV light construction duties

The new vessel, which will have a length overall of 112m and a breadth of 22m, is being developed to meet demand for more efficient vessels with greater capability. It will have the capacity to accommodate 110 people and will incorporate two fixed pitch (FP) Azimuthal main propellers of diesel-electric propulsion, two FP tunnel thrusters and one FP retractable Azimuthal thruster.

Sener’s new vessel will feature a 40 tonne electric deck crane, with the option for a larger 250 tonne crane, and will be able to work in 4,000m depth. It will also feature an integrated moonpool and a helicopter deck, while the main deck will be reinforced for heavy weights. The design has also prepared the vessel for an optional 600 tonne cable carousel.

The engineering group have more than 50 years experiences in ship design and marine engineering activities but the past 10 years has seen Sener work with the tug and offshore sectors. It’s recently developed Stern Drive Tugs, Voith Tractors, and rescue tugs and has developed its own design of an LNG tug, in collaboration with Main Engine makers and Bureau Veritas.

It’s also developed the FORAN CAD/CAM system, which is being tested to be used onboard anchor handling tug and supply vessels.
