Seatrium and Solvang advance CCS partnership

This agreement builds on the success of Clipper Eris, the world’s first full-scale 7MW turnkey CCS retrofit project, which was completed in February 2025 by Seatrium.

The new initiative targets Solvang’s upcoming series of very large gas carriers, purpose-designed for CCS integration, with project execution expected to begin in late 2026.

With over 584 sustainability-linked solutions delivered since 2015, including energy-saving retrofits and regulatory compliance projects, Seatrium is a proven leader in maritime engineering and decarbonisation technologies.

This milestone agreement underscores the strength of Seatrium’s favoured customer contract partnership model and highlights the company’s capabilities in delivering large-scale environmental solutions that help reshape the future of maritime transport.
