Sembcorp Marine completes P&O Cruises upgrades
The two vessels, owned by P&O Cruises (Australia), part of Carnival Corp, were drydocked in the Admiralty yard for refurbishment and conversion work. Other owners served over the past year include Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America, Princess Cruises, Star Cruises and SkySea Cruise Line.
“2015 has been a busy year for Sembcorp Marine in the area of cruise ship refits and upgrading,” said Wong Lee Lin, executive vice president and head of repairs & upgrades at Sembcorp Marine. “Our successful completion of these very challenging projects reinforces Sembcorp Marine’s reputation as a leader in the cruise refit market. This in turn boosts the status of Singapore as a major global cruise hub.”
The work was the first time that P&O Cruises (Australia) has drydocked Pacific Eden and Pacific Aria concurrently.
