The deal pairs Signal Ocean’s analytics-driven platform with AXSMarine’s established products, including AXSDry and Alphaliner, tools that are widely used across dry bulk and liner shipping. The transaction reflects a shared belief that better data and tighter integration can improve decision-making across prefixing, postfixing and commodities tracking.

“We have immense respect for AXSMarine’s achievements, both in the strength of its products and its position in the market,” said Ioannis Martinos, chief executive of Signal Ocean.

He added that the partnership is built around ‘a shared vision to build technology and provide quality data that enhance the way our industry operates’, noting that clients should see ‘more robust data and faster feature development’.

The combined group will also include affiliated companies Next Voyage Maritime and Shiplex, expanding its reach into voyage and ship management ERP solutions. Together, the businesses now serve more than 1,500 clients globally.

Signal Ocean stressed that existing partnerships remain central to its strategy. That includes BRS, the shipbroking group and long-time user of both platforms. “Signal Ocean’s investment is a strong endorsement of our mission,” said Gilbert Walter, chief executive of BRS Group, confirming that BRS will invest in Signal Ocean and take a board seat.

For AXSMarine, the change marks a new chapter rather than an exit. “I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved so far,” said AXSMarine chief executive Jacques Goudchaux. “Our alignment and shared vision will improve and accelerate our ability to serve our markets together.”
