Voith GmbH appoints Carsten J. Reinhardt

Carsten J. Reinhardt is the designated president and CEO of Voith Turbo

Mr Reinhardt will succeed Dr. Hubert Lienhard as a member of the corporate board and president and CEO as of 1 July 2012. Mr Reinhardt has gained almost 20 years of international experience in management areas of commercial vehicles and powertrain manufacturing.

The chosen president and CEO of Voith Turbo, said: “Voith is a company with fascinating products, strong values and a very capable workforce. In 1993, Mr Reinhardt started his career in the commercial vehicle division of the former Mercedes-Benz AG, now Daimler AG. Following this, he became vice president and general manager of Western Star Trucks in 2001 and was appointed president and CEO of Detroit Diesel Corporation in 2003.

Mr Reinhardt joined Meritor Inc in 2006 as president and chief operating officer. He was accountable for the company’s commercial vehicle, industrial and aftermarket businesses and led an expansion of the company’s productivity in the emerging South American and Asian markets.
