Wärtsilä launches new NACOS platform

NACOS Connect is a comprehensive solution to help users optimise the functionality and maintainability of their onboard NACOS systems.

“With a focus on integration, lifecycle management, and user experience, NACOS Connect sets a new standard for maritime technology solutions and marks a significant milestone in our journey towards revolutionising maritime operations,” said Christian Skytte, head of product automation, Wärtsilä ANCS.

The new platform includes onboard hardware, operating systems, software, and various cloud services.

It introduces a range of new features such as the Connect IoT Gateway which integrates with existing NACOS Platinum or legacy ecosystems and Connect Cloud which gives users access to cloud products and facilitates maintenance for ANCS engineers.

The platform also offers varying applications and use cases, from remote mimics which extends secure automation access to OPC UA integration.

Wärtsilä ANCS has also introduced comprehensive lifecycle service agreements to help ensure minimal system downtime.
