Wärtsilä supplying LNG fuel system to gas carriers

Exmar LPG is a joint venture between EXMAR, a multi-disciplinary maritime and offshore solutions provider, and Seapeak. The 46,000 m3 capacity vessels will be the largest of their kind in the world, and there is an option for two additional ships.

The delivery of the first vessel is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2024 and the second vessel is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. Furthermore, the JV has the option on two additional vessels of 46,000 m³ for delivery in 2025, and these have the option to be delivered with ammonia dual fuel propulsion.

Wärtsilä recently supplied a similar scope of solutions for a series of EXMAR vessels built at the Jiangnan shipyard in China. The Wärtsilä equipment is scheduled to be delivered to the yard in the latter part of 2023.
