Visitors will be able to find information on the company’s full range of commercial marine main propulsion and auxiliary diesel engines, which vary in power from 6 to 4,500 kW. Special focus will be on a new medium-speed, dual-fuel engine for situations that require very low emissions without compromising on power.

The 1533kW 6EY26DF engine allows ship owners to switch between LNG and diesel during operation, even under full engine loads. These dual-fuel engines are already in full operation, for example on tugboats and bunker tankers from Mitsui OSK Lines in Japan and Sinanju Tanker Holdings in Singapore.

In addition to the fuel switching, the engines are IMO Tier 3 compliant and have an improved thermal efficiency ratio of almost 50% in gas mode.

Also on show will be marine diesel engines suitable for ocean-going vessels, live fish carriers, fishing vessels, workboats and offshore support boats. Yanmar’s marine engine range comprises three major categories – medium-speed propulsion diesel engines (374 kW-4500 kW), auxiliary medium-speed engines (80 kWe-4500 kWe) widely used for diesel generator sets and high-speed commercial engines (6 kW to 1340 kW) with high-power output and combustion performance.

The Yanmar stand can be found at booth no. 1223.
