WinGD appoints Klaus Heim as CEO

Based in Italy while working at fuel injection specialist OMT, Mr Heim has over 25 years of experience in the large engine industry. Previous roles include vice president technology two-stroke and vice president global research & development at Wärtsilä from 2004 – 2010. He is also currently president of CIMAC – International Council on Combustion Engines, which he has chaired since 2016.

Tao Guohua, outgoing chief executive officer, and chairman of the board of directors at Switzerland-headquartered WinGD, said: “There couldn’t be a better time for WinGD to hire someone like Klaus and I’m excited we were able to attract such impressive talent.
