DNV confirms cyber-attack on ShipManager

Users of DNV’s ShipManager software can continue to access its onboard, offline functionalities. The classification society added in a statement that “there are no indications that any other software or data by DNV is affected”.   

DNV experts are working closely with global IT security partners to investigate the incident and to put in place a technical recovery plan and will ensure operations are online as soon as possible.   

DNV also informed affected customers of a 24/7 support hotline.

DNV is in dialogue with the Norwegian police about the incident.
