EPS uses DeepSea AI for improved fuel consumption forecasts

The breakthrough was enabled by leveraging real-time sensor data from EPS’s fleet and DeepSea’s advanced AI-driven platform, Cassandra. The collaboration has empowered EPS to improve vessel operations, enhance maintenance scheduling, and provide chartering teams with more reliable speed and consumption warranties.

The initiative focused on building and deploying advanced digital twins—AI-generated models that offer an up-to-date understanding of vessel behaviour. The twins were validated using empirical and statistical methodologies to ensure their accuracy. As a result, EPS now benefits from precise vessel behaviour models, fuelling improved operational decisions across its diverse 300-vessel fleet, which includes tankers, bulk carriers, PCTCs, containerships, and gas carrie 

By integrating Cassandra’s granular, real-time insights, EPS has streamlined fuel consumption monitoring, achieved regulatory compliance, and made significant progress toward its decarbonization targets.

“This result is a testament to the fact that the technology now exists to model vessel behavior incredibly accurately.
