By combining LLI’s expertise in vessel tracking and risk intelligence with Siglar Carbon’s advanced emissions data analytics, the partnership seeks to provide actionable insights into vessel emissions performance.

“This partnership with Siglar Carbon is a significant milestone in enabling stronger awareness of GHG emissions exposure and efficiency across the shipping sector,” said Michael Dell, CEO of Lloyd’s List Intelligence.

“Integrating emissions data into our ‘Seasearcher’ platform will provide customers with a clearer picture of vessel performance, empowering them to make data-driven, sustainable decisions.”

Redefining analytics

Siglar Carbon will utilise LLI’s market-leading AIS data and comprehensive vessel specifications to refine its analytics models and enhance its emissions management tools.

In turn, LLI will integrate Siglar Carbon’s emissions insights into its platforms, delivering a unified view of vessel fuel consumption, emissions efficiency, and operational performance.

“Collaborating with Lloyd’s List Intelligence strengthens our mission to provide decision-makers in shipping with precise emissions data,” said Sigmund Kyvik, CEO of Siglar Carbon.

“This partnership ensures that emissions analytics can be effectively utilised by a broader range of industry stakeholders.”

Together, the two companies aim to accelerate the maritime sector’s transition toward decarbonisation by equipping businesses with innovative tools to navigate the complexities of sustainable shipping.

This initiative also aligns with the EU ETS and FuelEU market frameworks and aims to help stakeholders in shipping, trading and chartering make informed decisions while reducing environmental impacts.
